Overview

Lab is involved in the method development/ Standardization and analysis of Heavy metals and Organic Pollutants eg. Pesticides (Organochlorine , Organophosphorus, Synthetic pyrethoid), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon, Phthalate, Pentachlorophenols, Styrene and other chemicals. in environment and biological matrices using sophisticated analytical instrument such as GLC, GC-MS, HPLC & AAS.

  Major activities:

  • To process and analyze the samples.

Highlights of Current Research:

Mainly three projects are running in Current time:

1. Monitoring of mercury concentration in the component of environment and its bioaccumulation.

2. Analysis of zinc in serum samples and cereals sample. 

3. Identification and quantification of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon in Soil and Sediment of Lucknow city.

Major Facilities available:

  • Analytical equipment such as GLC, GC-MS, HPLC, AAS and Liquid scintillation counter.
