Current R&D activities:
Presently working on the genotoxicity evaluation of environmental pollutants like heavy metals, pesticides, industrial & municipal solid waste by using plant bioassays (Allium cepa and Vicia faba) and mouse bone marrow cells by various parameters viz. Chromosomal aberrations (CA), mitotic index (MI), micronucleus test (MT), sister chromatid exchanges (SCE). Apart from this I am actively engaged in vermicomposting of industrial and municipal solid waste with different species of earthworms to establish a technology for value added manure production as well as environment friendly waste management. Actively engaged in ecotoxicological evaluation of environmental pollutants by using earthworm as model.
